Forest Reach

Located in the foothills of the Illawarra Escarpment, the Forest Reach development site encompasses approximately 115 hectares of land. As the Civil Design Consultant for both the Northern, Waples and Southern Precincts, as well as the Land Lease Community, Maker is responsible for the civil design of 800 residential lots and associated infrastructure across 13 subdivision stages.

Maker’s design efforts have supported the Development Application and Subdivision Works Certificate phases. Additionally, Maker are providing construction phase support throughout the Bulk Earthworks stage as well as subsequent civil stages. The scope of work includes an initial bulk earthworks stage involving the reuse of 1.46 million cubic meters of coalwash, stormwater drainage design, water quality and flooding, roadways, car parks, neighbourhood parks, Reed Creek Bridge, pavement designs, utility design, service plans, as well as retaining walls.

Shell-Cove

Shell Cove

Shell Cove is a major harbourside urban development centred around the recently constructed Shellharbour Marina on the South Coast of NSW. Over the last 14 years Maker’s employees have been instrumental in the design of Shell Cove, and have more recently played a key role in Precincts F, G and H, delivering detailed engineering designs for approximately 350 residential lots, including both detached houses and medium-density dwellings, along with five super lots, formal public reserved, and open space pedestrian links.

In addition, Maker has prepared comprehensive water quality and flood modelling designs that not only fulfill all water sensitive urban design and stormwater management requirements but also enhance Shell Cove’s aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability, contributing to the creation of vibrant eco-friendly public spaces.

Corrimal-Coke-Works-featured

Corrimal Coke Works

Maker has actively contributed to the conceptualization of the re-development of the Corrimal Coke Works site, ensuring the embedment of historical value into the subdivision design and rejuvenation of ecological value through realignment and revegetation of the existing creek within the site. Our contribution progresses the rejuvenation of the now rundown industrial space into a vibrant residential precinct within the Illawarra region.

Maker’s capabilities extend beyond the realm of civil engineering with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and innovation. Maker are proud contributors to the Green Star initiative within the Corrimal Coke Works project and our commitment is reflected in the achievement of a remarkable 5-Star Green Star community rating.

Caerleon Estate, Mudgee

Caerleon Estate is a master-planned community located in Mudgee in Central West NSW. Consisting of approximately 1,700 residential lots, with over 40 hectares of open space, Maker has completed the masterplan design and the Development Applications for stages 13 and 14, which consist of 419 residential lots.

The Caerleon Estate project aims to provide a well-structured community that balances residential living with ample green spaces. By offering extensive open areas and a thoughtfully planned layout, the development is designed to enhance the quality of life for its residents. This project will significantly contribute to the sustainable growth of Mudgee, providing new housing options and supporting the community’s expansion.

Temora Shire Council Stormwater Upgrades

In conjunction with Temora Shire Council, Maker undertook the stormwater management strategy for a 42-hectare existing catchment located in the northeastern extents of Temora. The analysis covered 25 hectares of existing residential and industrial areas that did not have an underground network. Maker’s scope of works included the detailed design for the stormwater management of these areas, as well as mitigation options and strategies for future developments. The project also involved a comprehensive investigation of feasible solutions to eliminate frequent flash flooding of arterial road connections.

The Temora Stormwater Upgrades aim to address critical drainage issues and improve the resilience of the existing infrastructure. By designing effective stormwater management solutions and planning for future growth, the project will enhance the safety and functionality of the local area, reducing the risk of flooding and supporting sustainable development in Temora.

West Dapto Industrial

Maker was engaged to provide professional services for the development of a 54-lot industrial project. The site required bespoke solutions for roads, stormwater management, and flood control due to its constrained location, which is surrounded by future road upgrades, adjacent developments and sensitive riparian areas.

The project presented several challenges, including the need to integrate with future infrastructure, protect natural waterways, and accommodate the requirements of neighbouring developments. Maker’s multi-disciplinary engineering team analysed these constraints, applying their expertise to devise innovative and effective solutions.

Throughout the project, Maker maintained a focus on delivering an economical solution without comprising on quality or functionality. The team’s ability to balance these complex requirements is a testament to the commitment Maker has of delivering developments that not only meets current needs, but also supports future growth.
