Maker was engaged by Eurobodalla Shire Council to conduct investigations and provide construction plans for six bridges within the Eurobodalla Shire Council LGA. These bridges were identified by Council as requiring upgrades under the Fixing Country Bridges Program, which has enabled Councils across NSW to replace hundreds of deteriorating timber bridges and enhance connectivity for regional and rural communities.
Maker carried out preliminary investigations to support the construction plans, ensuring all calculations met Council requirements. The preferred solution was determined to be the InQuik Modular System due to its numerous benefits, including reduced ongoing maintenance with the structures cast as a single unit after on-site installation.
In addition to these tasks, Maker provided project management services and collaborated closely with the structural engineers to finalise the structural design, and construction certification for all six bridges.
