Maker has been engaged as the principal design consultant, overseeing the preliminary, conceptual, and detailed design phases of the Elliminyt Wetland project. The Elliminyt Wetland services a catchment of approximately 100 hectares in size, including 210 existing properties and approximately another 200 – 300 future lots. The project’s complexity requires detailed hydraulic and hydrological modeling of the contributing stormwater catchment. This modeling informs the design of a comprehensive wetland system, which includes features such as a sediment basin and a stormwater harvesting pond.
In addition to the functional elements, the design prioritizes public use, featuring a variety of amenities. These include an extensive shared path network, a dedicated playground area, and a scenic viewing platform.
